We are always taking applications for mostly full and some part time positions for applicants with availability on weekends AND weekdays....
Umigo is looking for a staff that is enthusiastic about making our center a great place to race for our guests.  We encourage applicants to be enthusiastic about kart racing, but we do not expect you to know everything about it.  We are eager to introduce our new guests to this activity and need your help!  Our positions range from customer service to experienced mechanics, so check out our open positions.  If interested, send your contact information (and resume if you have one) to:  jobs@umigoracing.com .  We will contact you and set your expectations for the next steps.

Positions include:

Concierge:
Responsibilities for this position include, but not limited to:
• Greet guests with a consistent smile as they enter the facility in a professional, timely manner.
• Guide guests through race selection and process focusing on giving the customer the best experience.
• Process guest payments to include receiving payments, managing cash drawer, operating charge machine, and returning appropriate change.
• Apply knowledge of company products and services including pricing to assist our guests with purchases, efficiently process guest information, and respond to inquiries and complaints in a diplomatic manner.
• Facilitate group events to ensure smooth transition through pre race processes.
• Maintain facility in a clean and safe manner as per standards.

Experience
Prior customer service and cashier experience with proven success history.
CPR/first aid certification is helpful
Kart racing enthusiast helpful.

Customer Service:
Responsibilities for this position include, but not limited to:

Mechanic/ Assistant Lead Track Marshal:
Responsibilities for this position include, but not limited to:

• Manage fleet of karts and implement maintenance schedule.
• Maintain parts inventory
• Manage kart service area, organization and cleanliness
• Manage Kart conditions and fueling, diagnose and repair karts based upon need
• Fuel room maintenance and inventory control
• Assign track sections to Track Marshals to ensure track safety
• Manage operation of track : assign karts to guests using race/timing system
• Marshal track areas for the safety of the guests using flags to show them race conditions on the track.
• Ensure guests have correct safety gear on including helmets, neck harness and seat belts.
• Assist guests in entering and exiting karts safely.
• Support guests through pre and post race process.
• Lift and carry materials and equipment throughout work areas using appropriate equipment.
• Maintain neat and orderly work areas at all times.
• Assist with assigned responsibilities such as operating equipment and general maintenance.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills required
Mechanic
• Go Kart Mechanic a plus
• Consistent smile and happy attitude

• Computer skills for timing system and inventory management.
• Ability to bend, stoop, stand, or walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to push, lift, or move 50 plus pounds.

Experience
Mechanical experience, bonus if experienced in karts
Management experience helpful
Prior racing experience, CPR/first aid certification and customer service is helpful.

Track Marshal:
Responsibilities for this position include, but not limited to:

• Marshal track areas for the safety of the guests using flags to show them race conditions on the track.
• Manage assigned section of track for safety and adherence to rules.
• Assist guests in entering and exiting karts safely.
• Support guests through pre and post race process.
• Lift and carry materials and equipment throughout work areas using appropriate equipment.
• Maintain neat and orderly work areas at all times.
• Assist with assigned responsibilities such as operating equipment and general maintenance.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
